BLACKBIRD
Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie BLACKBIRD were held Wednesday, March 6 in the Mulberry church, with burial in the Mulberry Cemetery, under direction of Roberts Funeral Home. Mrs. BLACKBIRD, who was born April 17, 1907 in Stilwell, died Monday, March 4 in the Stilwell Municipal hospital, following a long illness.
She is survived by: the husband of the home; five daughters, Mrs. Georgia SHELL, Louise and Geraldine BLACKBIRD all of Stilwell, Mrs. Leora TEEHEE of New Mexico, and Mrs. Oleta BUNCH of Kansas; and one son, Tommy of Stilwell.
WALTERS
Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl V. WALTERS were held Sunday, March 3 in the Roberts Funeral Home chapel, with burial in the Proctor Cemetery. Mrs. WALTERS, who was born October 25, 1879 in Arkansas, died Tuesday, February 26 in the Bennett Nursing Home.
Her survivors include: the husband, Chris of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Rose VAUGHN and Mrs. Ruby PHILLIPS, both of Stilwell, and Grace FREDRICK of Kansas City, Missouri; two sons, Oscar DAVIS of California, and Ollie DAVIS of Kansas City, Missouri; five stepsons, Glover, John Arthur, Lafey and Walter, all of Stilwell; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle HUDSON of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Mrs. Ida DAVIS of California and Mrs. Florence TRICKETT of Westville; and one brother, Milo OSBORN of Watts.
FIVEKILLER
Funeral services for Spencer FIVEKILLER were held today (Thursday) in the Roberts Funeral Home chapel, with burial in the Clear Springs Cemetery.
FIVEKILLER, who was born March 6, 1894 in Stilwell died Saturday, March 2 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Survivors include: three sons, Bradie of Texas, Wadie of Ohio, and Joe of Okla.; two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn BUTLER of Corpus Christi and Mrs. Los SEABURN of Calif.; one brother; and one sister.
CHEEK
Funeral services for Eli Leroy CHEEK were held Tuesday, March 5 in the First Baptist church, Sallisaw, with burial in the Akins Cemetery. CHEEK, who was found dead in his home on Sunday, March 3, was born August 18, 1893 in Akins, Indian Territory. His death was attributed to a heart attack.
His survivors include: the widow of the home in Sallisaw; one son, Isaac of Norman; two daughters, Mrs. Scott (Jerrine) BLACKARD of Stilwell, and Mrs. Grace BENNETT of Sapulpa; two brothers; and five sisters.
TURMAN
Funeral services for Mrs. Beulah TURMAN were held Monday, March 4 in the Roberts Funeral Home chapel, with burial in the Stilwell Cemetery. Mrs. TURMAN, who was born March 17, 1881 in Evansville, Ark., died Friday, March 1 in her home.
Her survivors include: four sons, Granville and Elmer, both of Stilwell, Walter of Barstow, Calif., Martin of Bunch; one daughter, Mrs. Nellie SCOTT of Bunch; one brother, W.R. THURBER of Stilwell; 12 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren
