Wanda Faye Harjo, a resident of Hanna, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012 at the age of 73. She was born Monday, July 18, 1938 to Mosey and Alice (Bullett) Lewis in Henryetta, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Weogufkee Indian Baptist Church in Hanna.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mosey and Alice Lewis; husband, Buddy Harjo, Jr.; daughter, Anita Jo Harjo; son, Leslie Harjo; two sisters, Rose Lewis and Agnes Randall and two brothers, Edmond Lewis and Billy Joe Watson.

Survivors include her nine children, Wesley Barnett of Tulsa, Robert Satterfield and wife, Debi of Okmulgee, Robbin Harjo and wife, Denna of Leoma, TN; Sammy Harjo of Okmulgee, Tammy Harjo of Okmulgee, Loretta Harjo and husband Randy of Okmulgee, Amy Sue Harjo of the home, Stanley Harjo and wife, Nema of Bristow and Chebon Proctor of the home; twenty-eight grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Wake Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Weogufkee Indian Baptist Church in Hanna. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Monday at the church.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the Weogufkee Indian Baptist Church with Reverend Ernest Best officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Weogufkee Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee.

Pallbearers will be David Barnett, Scott Harjo, Brandon Harjo, Cody Harjo, Brian Harjo, Vincent Baccus, Robert Bullett, Grant Harjo, Paul Kelly and Brayden Cox.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Darren Harjo, Russell Harjo, Anthony Johnson, Ryan Harjo, Mark Harjo and Allen Harjo.
