His hobbies included fishing, hunting, tinkering on cars at Edwards Garage with his brother, going to the Casinos, playing with his grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and running errands for those whom needed his services on any give day his Lord granted him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. He leaves to cherish his memory; 2 sons, James Schoats and Leeroy Edwards; a daughter, Tammie [Edwards] Billings; 2 grandson, Dracco Edwards and Micah Billings, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 3 brothers, Earnest [Janette] Edwards, Cornelius [Cathy] Edwards, all of Muskogee, and Roy Edwards, Tulsa; 4 sisters, Earlene Crawford, Wichita, KS, Wilmer Edwards, Rentiesville, Edner [Ellis] Lockett, Muskogee, and Carolyn [Donald] Relf, Luther, OK; one aunt-in-law, Dorothy Carr; a brother-in-law, Rev. The service of memory will be on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. in the Checotah High School Auditorium. Minister Roy Edwards will officiate. Burial will follow in the Honey Springs Cemetery at Rentiesville.
