Funeral services for Ronnie Coffey, 68, of Pryor, Oklahoma were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2000 in the First Assembly of God Church in Pryor. Rev. V. O. Brassfield and Rev. Lynn Bartgis officiated.

Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery, Eufaula, Oklahoma under the direction of Stephens Memorial Chapel, Pryor.

Ronnie was born January 25, 1932 at Sweetwater, Oklahoma to Alfus and Inez Coffey and died November 21, 2000 in Pryor.

He graduated from Sweetwater High School in 1950.

He had lived in Pryor and Mayes County since 1981.

He had served the Lord as a minister for 35 years and has also worked in the construction business.

He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.

Ronnie married Levota Marie Walters of Eufaula on October 27, 1951.

His favorite activity was playing the guitar, which he was unable to do after a stroke on November 2, 1993. He also enjoyed going to church and listening to Paul Harvey, Chet Atkins and Les Paul. He fully enjoyed listening to music and Bible tapes. He listened to and read the New Testament completely each month. As of the day he died, he had already listened to the New Testament and read in the book of Hebrews.

He liked to talk about history, especially Presidential history, and old cars.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alfus Coffey in 1991.

He is survived by his wife Levota Marie Coffey of the home; his mother Inez Coffey, Erick, Oklahoma; three daughters and husband, Glenda and Rick Walden, Manila, Philippines; Brenda and Ron Foshee, Sand Springs, Oklahoma; and Ronna Kay and David Hilderbrand, Claremore, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
