Leslee Kathrine Rhodes, age 79 of Purcell, passed away Friday, March 26, 2021

Leslee was born July 3, 1941 in Weatherford, OK, the 6th of 9 children born to Walter Claude Rhodes and Calla Mae Elizabeth (Edwards) Rhodes. Growing up the daughter of a minister, Leslee’s younger years were spent in Kansas. After high school, she started working in the car rental business and this led to a long and successful career. Leslee was a branch manager in Okla. City, Albuquerque and Las Vegas before retiring. In 2004, she settled in Purcell to be closer to family, and worked as a secretary for Purcell Municipal Hospital. Always learning, Leslee joined her sisters in quilting classes, and spoiled her family and friends with her creations. She was an excellent cook, and will be forever remembered for her cakes and desserts. Family was very important to Leslee, and she always took the time to let those she loved most, know it. At least once a week, she would gather with her family to play cards, and she looked forward to this time. She was a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Purcell. She will be dearly missed!

Leslee was preceded in death by: her parents, Walter and Calla Mae Rhodes; sisters, Myra Shilling, Virginia Elliott, Connie Pond, Phama Andrews and her brother Jim Rhodes.

Leslee is survived by: brothers, Walter Rhodes Jr. and wife Phyllis of Norman, John Rhodes of Fort Worth, TX, and Ed Rhodes and wife Margie of Tulsa; sister-in-law, Gloria Rhodes of Copperas Cove, TX; brothers-in-law, Tommy Elliott of Washington and Henry Andrews of Kingfisher; Step children, John McAllister and wife Julie of Corpus Christi, TX and Barbara Mapes of Utah; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
