Billy Howell Rains age 80 of Oklahoma City, formerly of Washington moved up to Heaven on Monday, September 16, 2013. He was born October 17, 1932 at home in Washington, OK. He was the youngest of six children born to Joe Rains and Jennie Marie (Roberts). Billy grew up a farm boy living in the Washington community. He loved being in the outdoors and working with his hands. His favorite thing to do when he was a young boy was working with his dad and brothers. As he got older his duties around the home were keeping the yard mowed and working in the vegetable garden during the summer. One of his favorite things to do during the summers was fishing. Billy loved his family and his family loved him. He was a special person to them and to his many friends he had throughout his life. He always had a hand shake and a smile for everyone he met. As he got older and his health began to decline, in 1990 had to move to Oklahoma City to be close to his brothers and sisters. His family will always remember the love and joy he brought them.

He was preceded in death by: Parents: Joe and Jennie Rains, Two Brothers: Clarence and Allen Rains, One sister: Dorothy Holland,

He is survived by: One brother: Jack Rains and wife Dorothy of Oklahoma City, One sister: Mary Jo Gann and husband Eugene of Oklahoma City, Also many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell. Interment will be at the Washington Cemetery in Washington, OK.
