David Morehead of Oklahoma City, passed away Monday, February 24, 2020 at the age of 72.

Henry David Morehead was born January 23, 1948 in Purcell, OK, the oldest of 4 sons born to Binford and Billie (Fore) Morehead. He grew up on the family farm east of Washington and attended Washington Schools, graduating with the Warrior Class of 1966. David then attended Okmulgee TECH where he studied diesel engine repair and service. David was always tinkering on things from an early age, and his skill served him well, working on engines of all kinds. He was an excellent mechanic and could restore any engine he took on. David was good at working on hydraulic equipment and was also a very good welder and metal fabricator and enjoyed his work. He worked for Standridge John Deere implement company in Chickasha for 10 years. After that he worked for his good friend and cousin Michael Collins at Mike and his wife Mary’s trucking company until they closed the business a few years back. From that time until his passing, David continued to work for Mike at his storage yard shop doing mechanic work and farm equipment repairs. He also helped Mike with his Bermuda grass farming and cattle raising activities. David cherished both his natural family and his spiritual family. He was baptized into Christ as a teenager and at the time of his death, was a faithful member of the Larkspur Church of Christ in Moore, Oklahoma. Near the end of his schooling at Okmulgee TECH, David met a very nice young lady named Ann White and they were soon married. Regretfully, they separated about 11 years later. Although he never had children of his own, David enjoyed being around his nieces, nephews and cousins. David was somewhat quiet until you got to know him. He had a big heart and was a true friend, willing to help with any task at hand and he will be dearly missed!

David was preceded in death by:
