Frank Jerry Mayfield, 71, of Blanchard, died November 5, 2012, at his home. The son of Frank Whitlock and Muriel Delores (Andrews) Mayfield, he was born November 7, 1940 in Blanchard, Oklahoma.

Jerry earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Oklahoma State University. He was the Vocational Agriculture Teacher in Dibble for 29 years and loved teaching school and loved his students. He enjoyed raising registered Hereford cattle. Jerry was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church in Dibble and the Blanchard Masonic Lodge. Jerry’s greatest love was spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother-in-law, Tom Hill, Jr., and a son-in-law, Joseph Wesley Birchum, III.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Sue Mayfield of Blanchard; one daughter, Jenny Savage and husband, Tim of Blanchard; two sons, Frank Jerry Mayfield, II and wife, Tammie of Blanchard and Josh Whitlock Mayfield of Florida; six grandchildren, Chisolm Perry and wife, Amber, Sage Perry, Jordan Birchum, Hunter Mayfield, Holden Mayfield, all of Blanchard, and Alyssa Mayfield of Florida; one sister, Carolyn Hill of Blanchard; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 8, 2012, at the Freewill Baptist Church in Dibble with interment to follow in the Washington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
