Jimmy Roy Madden, age 79 of Washington, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023, at his home.

Jimmy was born July 23, 1943, in McClain County, OK, the 5th child of Rex and Marie Madden.

He was raised in Washington and attended school there, graduating with the Warrior Class of 1961. Jimmy was a truck driver for Oklahoma Tank Lines and United Petroleum Transports for most of his career.

He married Dixie (Quandahl) White on March 14, 1995 in Las Vegas, and two families became one. Together they owned and operated Madden Trucking for several years. Before he retired, Jimmy worked at Riverwind Casino in Norman as a shuttle and limousine driver.

Away from work, Jimmy enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting, tending to his yard, garden, grilling and smoking bbq. He was an avid watcher of CNN News. He always enjoyed a cup of coffee and a good ribeye, and loved visiting with friends and family. Jimmy cherished Dixie, his children and was a proud grandfather. He looked forward to his grandchildren’s activities and sporting events. He was a wonderful husband and father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a true friend. He will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Rex and Marie Madden; brothers, Alford Madden and Ralph Madden and brother-in-law Martin Andrews and Oliver Goodin; sister Dorothy Russell and sisters-in-law, Linda Madden and Sally Noland.

Jimmy is survived by: his wife, Dixie Madden of the home; children, Wanda McCoy (Don) of Purcell, Stephen Edmoundson (Angela) of Norman, Alan Madden (Terryn) of Goldsby, Tina Mize (Curtis) of Washington, Will White (Tanja) of Berlin, and Justin White (Jessica) of Boulder, CO; siblings, Virgie Andrews of Purcell, Ann Goodin of Washington, Larry Madden of Purcell and Michael Madden (Judy) of Norman, sister-in-law Rosemary Madden of Noble, and brothers-in-law Larry Quandahl (Kathy) of Virginia, Allen Quandahl (Pam), Joe Quandahl, and Adam Quandahl (Julie) all of Waukon Iowa, Dennis Noland of Elizabeth, CO; grandchildren, Scott Johnson, Chad Johnson, Colby Lloyd, Dalton Mize, Ryan Edmoundson, Matthew Edmoundson, Olivia Thompson, Chase Edmoundson, Sara McCoy, Lindsey Conner, Emelie White, Haley Madden, Paige Madden, Lee White, Serafina White and Rosalind White; great grandchildren, Preslee Johnson, Harper Johnson, Cora Lloyd, Kennedy Lloyd, Brinley Mize, Lila Mize, Dakota Mize, Jaedyn McCoy, Cameron Conner, Payton Conner, Emerson Conner, Scarlet Thompson, Warren Thompson, Harper Thompson, Braxton Edmoundson, Boston Edmoundson and Eli Edmoundson; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Viewing 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Wilson-Little. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM.

Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at the Washington Cemetery. Celebration of Life reception immediately following graveside service at Goldsby Community Center. All Jimmy’s Family and Friends are invited to attend. www.wilsonlittle.com
