Charles Samuel Madden, 73, of Blanchard, passed away peacefully in his sleep Monday morning, June 25, 2018, at the Chickasha Nursing Home.   The son of David Johnathan Madden and Elsie (Dover) Madden, he was born April 1, 1945 in Washington, Oklahoma.

He resided in McClain County all of his life, growing up around Washington, Newcastle, and Blanchard. Charles did farm work most of his life, preferring the outdoors. He was a bit of a loner and homebody. He enjoyed raising a big garden on the family homeplace where he watched many nephews and nieces grow up and run around.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; three siblings, Floyd Madden, Noah Madden, age 2, and one infant sister.

He is survived by four sisters and four brothers-in-law, Geneva and Larry Hall of Wayne, Brenda and Roger Worley, Gail and Kenneth Worley, Bronita and Roy Cradduck, all of Blanchard; seven nephews, Raymond Madden, Dennis Madden, Jason Davis, Chad Hall, Shawn Worley, Curtis Worley, and Andrew Worley; three nieces, Deanna Mason, Jennifer Brown, and Kimberly Worley; many great nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.

He will be missed by all.

The family will hold a graveside memorial service and interment of his cremated remains at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 30, 2018 in the Washington Cemetery, Washington, Oklahoma. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
