Johnny Owen Kern, age 55 of Washington, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013, at his home. Johnny was born May 5, 1958 in Purcell, OK. His parents were Wilbur Owen “Bud” Kern and Margie Ruth (Andrews) Kern. He attended school at both Moore & Washington and later Vo Tech for small engine repair. He was a business partner in his parent’s service station for more than 20 years. Johnny cherished his family and especially enjoyed playing with his four granddaughters. He liked to ride motorcycles, mowing his yard and never missed a good domino game. Johnny was known for being a great host for all who entered his home. The love and faith he showed toward family and friends was contagious.

He was preceded in death by: His father, Wilbur Owen “Bud” Kern and His sister, Tammy Lynn Kern.

Johnny leaves behind: His mother, Ruth Kern, of the home; His two daughters: Joi Kern and husband Dewayne of Goldsby and Tamara Kern and husband Ernest of Lexington; His sisters, Tyra Massey and husband Mike of Washington and Twila Winkler of Norman Four granddaughters, Kali Starr, Journey Brizendine, Lyrical Antwine And Serenity Antwine; Newphews, Blake Massey and wife Randi and Jake Massey; Nieces, Paige Johnson and husband Zac and Shelby Sweatt Many more family and friends.

Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Saturday, September 14, 2013, at the Washington Cemetery. Online condolences at wilsonlittle.com
