Loyd Leon Finch, age 82 of Washington, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014. Loyd was born January 22, 1932 in Washington, OK, the 4th of 6 children born to Lee Roy Finch and Ola Mae (Gunter) Finch. He was raised in the Dibble and Washington area and attended school there. Loyd learned the value of hard work at a very young age, and as a young man started his own company, working in construction. Loyd married Ora May Adams and to this union, 3 sons, Kenneth, Curtis and Tim were born. Several years later, on January 13, 1968, two families became one when Loyd married Imogene Holloway and her daughter, Brenda. They made their home in Washington, and for the past 27 years, Loyd has worked for Bentley Turf Farms, currently serving as supervisor. Loyd was a hard worker and a great provider. He was a family man first, and cherished his family relationships with his children and grandchildren. In his later years, Loyd enjoyed spending time in the casinos, and never missed an opportunity to play the slots. He was a good father; grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be dearly missed!

He was preceded in death by: His wife, Imogene Finch; His parents, Lee Roy and Ola Finch; A sister, Inez Morgan-Bassett and 3 brothers, Roy Jr., Troy and Ricky Finch.

Loyd leaves behind: His sons, Kenneth Finch and wife Carol, Curtis Finch and wife Lilly and Tim Finch and wife Clara, all of Quinlan; His daughter, Brenda Clouse and husband Richard of Noble; Sister, Lois Wilson of Newcastle; Sister-in-laws, Marie Bentley of Bethany, Sue Smith of Washington and Connie Finch of Lexington; 16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 3 great-greats Grandchildren; Many nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday May 21, 2014, at the Washington Cemetery.
