Denton "Denny" Davenport died December 31, 2015 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years 7 months 16 days.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Washington Cemetery under the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Denny was born May 15, 1937 in Duncan, Oklahoma to C W and Juanita Alberta (Cox) Davenport. He was raised and attended school in Crooked Oak, until he started high school. Denny graduated from High School in Midwest City in 1955. He was inducted into the United States Navy on July 26, 1955 proudly serving his country until his honorable discharge on June 15, 1956. Denny enjoyed playing stringed instruments especially the banjo and guitar. He also played the piano. Denny was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Washington, and even though he didn’t get to participate much, Denny enjoyed learning how to fish.

Denny is preceded in death by his parents, C W and Bertie Davenport; and brother, Kim Davenport.

Survivors include his son Jeff; daughter, Denita; brothers, Gary Davenport, Darryle Davenport; numerous grandchildren including Kyle and Justin; nephews, Ronnie Davenport, Dempsey Davenport, Darryle Allen Davenport, Will Davenport, Clay Davenport and numerous other relatives and friends.
