Mary Beth Cunningham, age 80 of Washington, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, June 23, 2014 after a brief illness. Mary Beth was born February 19, 1934 in Wayne, OK. She was the 4th child of five children born to Roy Edmond Beck and Mary Edna (Stone) Beck. She was raised in Wayne and attended school there, graduating with the class of 1951. On December 22nd of that same year, she married her best friend and true love, Roy Allen Cunningham. They made their home in Oklahoma City for nearly ten years before moving to Washington in 1961. Together they raised three sons, Michael, Paul and Phillip. For more than 30 years, Mary Beth owned and operated out of her home “Mary’s Custom Drapes”. She and Roy also owned and operated Cunningham Hardware in Washington from 1977-1996. In November of 1999, Mary Beth joined the staff at McClain Bank where she worked as a teller. She was a faithful member of the Washington First Baptist Church and a past member of the Washington Home Demonstrator’s Club. She enjoyed crafts and cross stitching. She also enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. She was dear to the hearts of many and will be forever remembered!
 
She was preceded in death by: Her husband, Roy Cunningham; Her son, Michael Cunningham; Her parents, Roy and Mary Edna Beck; 1 brother, Cotton Glen Beck and 2 sisters, Lorene Wingard and Wanda Graham.

Mary Beth leaves behind: Her sons, Paul Cunningham and wife Becky of Purcell and Phillip Cunningham and wife Janet of OKC; Sister, Theta Kenney of Port Aransas, TX; Sister-in-law, Emma Faye Stone and husband Curtis of OKC; Brother-in-law, Jerry Graham of Wayne; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, 18 nieces and nephews, Many cousins and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Thursday, June 26, 2014, at the Washington First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Washington Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Washington First Baptist Church.
