Ricky Albert, age 61of Purcell, passed away at his home Thursday, October 23, 2014. Ricky Ray Albert was born October 13, 1953 in Dallas, Texas. His parents were Jesse Ray Albert and Covel Lorriane (Glass). Ricky spent his early years in Oklahoma City, later moving to the Washington and Purcell area in 1970. Ricky worked most of his life as a sign erector for various sign companies in Oklahoma. In his spare time when he wasn’t working he enjoyed fishing, hunting, target shooting and gardening. On March 27, 2010, Ricky married Colleen Killian. Not long after they were married, Ricky was diagnosed with cancer. For the past 4 years, Colleen was his primary care giver and soul mate. One of the things that gave Ricky most happiness in life was spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed get-togethers and cookouts. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by: His parents, Jesse and Covel Albert.

Ricky leaves behind: His wife, Colleen Albert of the home; Brother, Randy Albert and wife Kim of Washington; Two Sisters, Debbie Heitz and Anita Ross; Daughter, Billie Jo Lamb and husband Dennis of Shawnee; Two sons, Zach Albert and Jesse Albert of OK, Step son, Shane Holder of Lexington; 2 grandchildren, Preston and Brailee Lamb; 2 step grandchildren, Michael Lindsay and Mathew Holder; 1 aunt, Millie Albert of Washington; 1 niece, Randi Bennett and husband Brandon of Washington; 3 nephews, Eric Albert and wife Heather of Goldsby; Justin Albert and wife Shyla of Washington and Travis Albert and wife Tracy of Blanchard; Also many cousins and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside services were 10:00 am Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Washington Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
