Ouida (Murdock) Bailey Baggett Obit

Funeral services for Ouida Bailey Baggett, 86, of Wayne will be held Friday, Sept. 9, 2005 at 12 noon at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Jamar officiating. Interment will be at Rosedale Cemetery under the direction of Criswell Funeral Home in Ada.
Mrs. Baggett died Sept. 6, 2005 at her home.
She was born Dec. 11, 1918 in Crossroads, Okla., near Paoli, the daughter of Alvin and Sallie Driskill Murdock. She attended Paoli Grade School, graduating from Ada High School. She also attended East Central State Teachers College.
On June 23, 1937 she married Vaughn Bailey in Liberty, Texas. He died May 13, 1984 in Ada. She later married Lynn Baggett on May 18, 1991 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Mrs. Baggett was a secretary for Boeing during World War II and later was employed in the medical records department of Valley View Regional Hospital.
She was a member of Morris Memorial Baptist Church and of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, Lynn Baggett, of the home; two sons, Vaughn Bailey and his wife, Celeste, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Daryl Bailey of Dallas, Texas; one stepdaughter, Nancy Jones and her husband, Joe, of Wayne; two stepsons, Tim Baggett and his wife, Donna, of The Colony, Texas, and Trent Baggett and his wife, Teresa, of Norman; four sisters, Xyla Richardson of LaPort, Texas, Wanda McCormick of LaPort, Texas, Treba Hill of Aurora, Ohio, and Delma Loftis of Cape Girardeaux, Mo.; three granddaughters; three grandsons and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tim Baggett, Trent Baggett, Nick Baggett, Devin Baggett, Jay Jones and David Powell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Jones, her nieces and nephews and Mac and Rowdy, her beloved dogs.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association, Oklahoma Affiliate, Inc., 3545 NW 58th St., Suite 400 C, Oklahoma City, OK 73112.
