Janis L (Younger) Knickmeyer Obit

Janis L (Younger) Knickmeyer was born to Leslie B and Patricia Lyons Younger on 06 Nov 1950 at Ada, OK.

Janis graduated from Ada High School and attended East Central University and the University of Oklahoma. During her time at OU she was the editor of the Oklahoman Daily.

Janis and Steve Knickmeyer were married on the 15 Mar 1980. Janis worked as a journalist for the Ada News, The Daily Oklahoman, The Frisco Enterprise in Frisco, TX., and the Sentinel-Record in Hot Springs, AR. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church.

Janis passed away on Sunday, 18 Aug 2013 at a local hospital in Ada, OK.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leslie B. Younger.

Janis is survived by her husbband, Steve, of the home. Three sons, Ragan Knickmeyer of Vanoss,and Steven Knickmeyer and Alan Knickmeyer, both of Phoenix, AZ. Her mother, Patricia Younger of Ada, a sister, Cara Black of Norman, OK and three grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at Rosedale Cemetery with Father John D Norvell officiating.
