Teddy Mack VanSchuyver Obit

Ted VanSchuyver departed this life at his home east of Norman on August 13, 2019.

Ted was born on December 6, 1952 at Stratford, OK to Claud and Lois (Hankins) VanSchuyver. He attended school at Noble Public Schools.

He married Linda McCory at her parents house on July 6, 1973. She was the love of his life and they were married for 46 years.

Ted worked for the Ketchum Public Water Works for over 22 years. During that thime he also devoted time to the Ketchum Volunteer Fire Department for 21 years.

After his retirment in 2017 he and Linda moved back to Norman, OK and purchased a house that he remodeled himself. He also built as car shop and a woodworking shop. He loved to work on cars and was always tinkering on one. He also did a little antiquing on the side.

Ted loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had a special space in his heart for each one. He also loved to visit with people and always had a great smile on his face.

He was preced in death by his parents, a half-brother and four half-sisters.

Ted is survived by his wife, three daughters, one brother, one sister, ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren along with many other relatives and friends.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, August 17 at New Johnsonville Cemetery, Byars, OK.
