Lucille Johnston Jones, 97, of Meeker, died Saturday, February 24, 2007 in Meeker.

Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at New Johnstonville Cemetery in Byars, Oklahoma under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh.

She was born September 25, 1909 in Swank, Oklahoma to Walter Adolphus and Florence (Barker) Jones. She moved to Rosedale as a child and attended school at Rosedale. Following her marriage, she lived in Oklahoma City for many years. She worked as a waitress for many years. She enjoyed dancing and had resided in Meeker the past three years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; former husbands, Kirkland B. Johnston and Earnest A. Jones; daughter, Elwanda Jo Ingram; son, Bill G. Johnston; brother, Earnest Jones; sisters, Bernice Dyer, Hazel Skaggs, Olla Lee Herring and Billie Jones.

She is survived by one son, Jack L. Johnston of Shawnee and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and their families.
