Stephen Bruce George, of Byars, Oklahoma was born October 1, 1947 in San Antonio, Texas to James and Hazel (Hilburn) George. He passed away May 24, 2019 at his home north of Stratford at the age of 71 years, 6 months and 23 days. He lived in California until 2006 when he retired to Oklahoma. He worked as a forklift operator. He married Shirley Ann Standifer.

Preceded by; his parents, wife, and brothers; John, Danny, Chris, and Mark George, and sister Belinda Parshall.

Survived by; one daughter, Cristy Garbajal, Byars, OK. one son; Stephen L. George, Byars, OK. three brothers; Jimmy, Mike, and Jerry George all of Byars, OK.; two sisters; Velma Surguhue, Stratford, OK., and JoAnn Brandt, Pauls Valley, OK. brother in law; Richard Parshall. five grandchildren; Samantha, Bruce, Caryssa, Hope, and Faith; four great-grandchildren Zoe, Zack, Nyla and Langston.

Services; will be 2:00 PM Thursday May 30, 2019 at DeArman/Pickard Chapel. Burial will be in New Johnsonville cemetery Byars, OK.
