Christopher Arnold George Obit

Christopher Arnold George was born in Okinawa, Japan on 20 April 1958. He was one of 11 children born to James Frederick George and Hazel Vilma Hilburn. He attended school at Byars and Wayne, Oklahoma.

He died 15 November 2004 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Moore, Oklahoma.

In his younger years he was a boxer in the Golden Gloves Association in California where he was 34-0. Christopher worked various jobs over the years in the oldfield and as a supervisor for the paint department for JP EMCO in Byars.

Christopher was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Velma Hilburn; a brother, John George; and his mother-in-law, Anne Hennslee.

He is survived by his father, James Frederick George of Byars,; his former wife, Dava Bradley of Norman; two sons, Chris Ryan George of Wilburton and Samuel James George and July Johnston of Byars; six brothers, Jimmy George and his wife, Sue, Steve George and his wife, Shirley, Mike George and his wife, Kay, Jerry George, Mark George and Danny George, all of Byars; three sisters, Velma Sughrue of Dallas, Texas, Jolynn Brandt of Pauls Valley and Belinda Parshall of Azle, Texas, and three grandchildren.

Services were held on 19 November 2004 at the Byars Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Ron Gaither officiating. Services were under the direction of Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
