Shawnee resident, Joseph Andrew Chapline, 41, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2015.

He was born in El Paso, Texas on August 12, 1974 to Joseph Samuel and Beverly Ann (George) Chapline. He graduated from high school in El Paso in 1993.

Joseph joined the Army in 1993 and was honorably discharged in 1996. He went on to attend North Carolina State University where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in 2000. In April of 2003, Joseph was called back into active service and served during Operation Iraqi Freedom. While in Iraq, he suffered a severe injury and was discharged in June of 2004.

He married Tia Cartwright on August 5, 2015. Joseph enjoyed a wide range of music and played the guitar. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Tia; parents, Joseph and Beverly; children, Macie, Summer, Trace, Aspen, Annabelle, and Isabelle; sister, Jaime Raenee Chapline; nephew and niece, Andrew Samuel Chapline and Alexis Renee Brown; as well as many dear friends.

Services will be 10am Friday, October 2, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with Bishop Kenneth Hawkins officiating. Interment will be 1pm, Friday, October 2 at New Johnsonville Cemetery in Byars, Oklahoma.
