Mary Sletha Cantrell, of Byars, Oklahoma was born February 11, 1937 in Mountian View, Oklahoma to Robert E. Lee and Lillie (McCool) Christian. She passed away April 2, 2015 at her home in Byars, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years 1 month and 21 days. She was married to James Cantrell in Shawnee, OK. In 1950. She was a wife, mom, grandmother and for the past few years she cooked at the Senior Citizens center. She was a member of Byars Pentecostal Holiness church.

She was preceded in death by her husband James W. Cantrell and one son Timothy Cantrell.

Survived by three sons, Kerry Cantrell & wife Kay, Beulaville, N.C.; James Cantrell JR., Byars, OK; Brian Cantrell & wife Ashley, Byars, OK; one brother, Kim Christian & wife Liz, Eufala, OK; one sister, Sylvene Hillis, Shawnee, OK; ten grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dwight McCullar, J.W. Cantrell, Ryan Cantrell, Bo Martin, John Paul Sampson, and LeRoy Fisher.

Services will be held Monday April 6, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Byars Pentecostal Holiness Church, officiated by Rev. Frank Trent. Burial will be in New Johnsonville Cemetery, Byars, Oklahoma.
