Samuel Leon “Sam” Murfin Obit

Feb 13, 1944 - Apr 19, 2011

Samuel Leon Murfin passed away on 19 Apri 2011 after a long battle with cancer.

Sam was the youngest son of Samuel Elmer and Vieva Pearl (Stubblefield) Murfin. He was born in Stroud, Oklahoma on 13 February 1944.

He is survived by three children: Tim Murfin, Angela Richards and husband Jeff and Karie Votaw and husband Mitchell all of Newcastle. Two brothers: Jerry Murfin and wife Judy of Stroud, OK. and Harold Murfin and wife Mina of Houston, Texas. He also has seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held 23 Apr 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Newcastle.

Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Newcastle handled the arrangements.
