Deloris Sandra "Sandy" Merriman, 70, of Marietta, formerly of Newcastle, died Monday, February 8, 2021, in Ardmore.

The daughter of William Clifford McCrary and Lola Mae (Trickey) McCrary, she was born March 9, 1950 in Vinita.

She graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1968. Sandy married Andy Merriman on July 28, 1972. She was a hairdresser for thirty-one years and then owned and operated her own flower shop in Newcastle for eight years. She will be greatly missed and will forever be Momma and NeeNee.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Rebecca Suzanne Higgins; and two great granddaughters, Emma Lynn and Aaliyah Jade.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Andy Merriman, of the home; three sons, Andy Sims and his wife, Darlene, of Blanchard, William Merriman of Newcastle, and Audy Merriman of Lindsay; one stepson, Robert Wayne Merriman, of Holdenville; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Roy Leon Hicks and his wife, Cindy, of Grove; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 12, 2021, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Newcastle Memorial Gardens in Newcastle. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
