Kirk Duane “Biggin” Halbert, 58, of Newcastle, died Thursday, September 17, 2020, in Oklahoma City. The son of Billy Newton Halbert and Edna Lois (Jordan) Halbert, he was born September 20, 1961 in Dallas, Texas.

Kirk married Felicia Ann McGuire on April 19, 1979 in Oklahoma City. He worked for many years as a granite installer. He spent most of his time alongside his son and best friend, Kirk “Junior.” They worked alongside one another and also enjoyed spending time together outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He spent countless hours playing Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes on his phone. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Halbert; his brother, Michael Dean Halbert; a nephew, Michael Andrew Halbert; and a niece, Susan Michelle Halbert.

He is survived by his wife, Felicia Halbert, of Newcastle; his mother, Edna Halbert of Oklahoma City; one son, Kirk Halbert and his wife, Amanda, of Moore; three daughters, Shandra Avery and Josh Sours of Moore, Laticia Halbert of Bethany, and Natalie Halbert of Oklahoma City; sixteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren and three more on the way; one sister, Kim Halbert of Oklahoma City; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, September 21, 2020, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Newcastle Memorial Gardens.
