Ruby Nolene was born the 5th of 6 siblings to Otto and Sallie Bryant on December 27, 1937 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Her family moved to Oklahoma City where she attended Capitol Hill High School, graduating in 1956. Ruby worked at OGE, Kelly Girl Services, and retired from Civil Service at Tinker AFB Hospital.

Donald Robert Covey was born in Oskaloosa, Iowa August 23, 1936, the 5th of 7 siblings. He lived his childhood in Oskaloosa, graduating from high school in 1954. Shortly after graduation, Don joined the United States Army.

Don married Lenora Wade and to this union, Perry Edward Covey was born. Sadly, Lenora passed away in June 1959, leaving Don as a single father. Don began in career on the Oklahoma City Fire Department in 1958. He met and married Ruby on February 19, 1960. She completed their little family. Don and Ruby lived in south Oklahoma City. Over the years, Don "revived" several old model A Ford cars and trucks. This was his passion. They joined the local Classic Chevy Car Club and participated in parades, road trips over the years. Eventually the model A's were replaced by a 2 door 1956 Chevrolet Coupe. They enjoyed just driving around in the "56" until their health started to faulter, forcing them to sell the 56 Chevy they both loved.
