Richard Lee Black age 68 of Tuttle, went home to join our Lord on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 in OKC at the Integris Hospice House. Richard was born October 18, 1946 in Oklahoma City. His parents were George Christopher Black and Berta Lea (Barnes) Black. Richard moved to Tuttle in 1949. He grew up there and attended all 12 years there, graduating in 1964. His dad owned Black’s Propane which served the surrounding counties. At 10 years old Richard hand dug trenches for propane lines. He also loaded the two trucks each day for the deliveries. After high school he attended Central State University in Edmond for two years. Then attended USAO in Chickasha and was one of the first male students to attend the once all girls college. Two years later he graduated with a BA degree in English and Literature. Richard started teaching school and taught two years at Crooked Oak in OKC. He then moved to a small town in Southwest Kansas where he taught high school English for eight years. Richard left his teaching to return home to Oklahoma to help assist his ailing mother. While living in Oklahoma he took a job managing convenient stores across the state, such as 7-11 and Bell Gas Stations. In 1985 he moved to San Jose, California and worked as a Loan Officer for the Bank of America for five years. In 1990 he moved back to Oklahoma where he met the love of his life, Doris Emilie (Meissner) Webb. They were married on June 16, 1990 and made their home in the Newcastle-Tuttle area. For the past 20 years Richard worked as a Skiptracer in the OKC area. He was a faithful Christian and was a member of the Newcastle Heights Church of Christ. Richard loved nature and traveling throughout the US and Canada. He visited 47 states and almost every national park in the United States. His favorite hobby was reading his bible and old comics.

He was preceded in death by: Parents, one brother and one sister;

He is survived by: Wife, Doris Black of the home; Step-daughter, Marilyn Johnson and husband Joe of Tuttle; Two step grandsons, Cameron Jones and Clayton Johnson

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the Newcastle Height Church of Christ, 301 S. Main in Newcastle. Interment will be at the Newcastle Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are with Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Newcastle
