Charles Vaughn Lack age 76 of Wayne, passed away Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014 at his home north of Wayne. He was born Sept. 4, 1938 near Prairie View, Oklahoma. His parents were George Branchford Lack and Eula Leora (Miller) Lack. Charles grew up a country boy living near Sulphur, OK. He later met and married the love of his life, Emma Gene Longacre. They were married on November 16, 1962 in Sulphur. Together they raised four children, Linda, Anita, Shana and Dean. After they were married they first lived in Gene Autry, OK. Later moving to Norman where they lived for 15 years. Then in 1978 they moved to the Wayne community. Charles worked most of his life with his brother, Bill as a professional residential home painter. He was a devoted Christian and a faithful member of the Wayne First Baptist Church. Throughout his life he enjoyed gardening, fishing and was an avid O.U. Football fan. Charles loved his wife and family and spending time with them was special to him. In his later years he enjoyed staying at home, watching TV shows, like Gun Smoke, Jeopardy and Matlock. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death: Parents, George and Eula Lack; Wife, Emma Gene Lack on June 9, 2012; Daughter, Anita Ridenour; Two brothers, Bill and Gene Lack; Three sisters, Ruth Will, Wanda Pollock and Sandra Green;

He is survived by: Three children, Linda Lack Holder of Norman, Shana Denise Lack of Wayne, Dean Lack and wife Angie of Purcell. 10 grandchildren, Brandy Potts Privett, Charles Tinker, Benny Tinker, Jessicah Tinker, Alexandra Holder, Austin Lack, Hannah Lack, Dillon Lack, Austin Lack & Ethan Meeks; 13 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, Many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Wayne. Interment will be at the Hopping Cemetery in Wayne.
