Catherine Elizabeth Foshee, age 66, of Wayne, OK passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 at her home.

She was born on September 11, 1951, in Desloge, Missouri. She was the 2nd child of four children and the only daughter born to John William Edelman II and Mary Elizabeth (McHenry) Edelman. Known as Cathy by her family and friends, she grew up in Desloge, MO and graduated from North County High School in 1968.

On May 24, 1969, in Desloge, MO, Cathy married the love of her life, Michael Eugene Foshee. Together they raised two children, Adrienne and Frank. For many years Cathy and Mike lived in the OKC area.

In 1983, they bought a farm in Wayne, OK where she lived today.

For several years Cathy worked as a Teacher’s Aide at Wayne Elementary, she later worked for American Abstract in Purcell. She continued working in the Abstract business and retired as a Closer for First American Title Co. in Moore. For the past 20 years, she has been a member at Trinity United Methodist Church in Purcell and a member of the Gladiolus Garden Club. Cathy had many hobbies including, teaching and playing with her grandchildren. Growing flowers in her garden and flower beds. Feeding her birds, reading many different types of books including crime novels, romance novels and the Bible. She loved watching her humming birds and other various birds. She also enjoyed having craft days with all of the neighborhood children. Hosting 4th of July parties, Christmas parties and birthday parties. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by: Parents, John and Mary Edelman; Infant Son, James Loren Foshee; Brother, Bill Edelman;

She is survived by: Husband, Michael Foshee of the home in Wayne, Son, Frank Foshee of Friday Harbor, WA. Daughter, Adrienne Lang and husband Brent of Wayne, Two brothers, Tom Edelman and Randi of Springfield, MO. Rick Edelman of Springfield, MO. Two sisters-in-law, Mary Edelman of Boston, MA. Karen Rudder and husband Robert of Claremont, CA. Two grandchildren, Riley Lang Foshee and Reese Lang both of Wayne. Four step grandchildren, Chloe Trent, Brandi, Hailey and Tiffany Lang; Several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell. Interment will be Hopping Cemetery in Wayne. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, from 6-8pm on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. Memorials may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church. Send online condolences @wilsonlittle.com
