Steven Darryl Taylor died January 23, 2015 in Midwest City at the age of 59 years 4 months 7 days. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Purcell.

Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery under the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.


Steven was born September 16, 1955 in Purcell, Oklahoma to Teddy and W. Marie (Dodson) Taylor. He was raised and attended school in Denver, Colorado, graduating around 1973. Steven was inducted into the United States Army in 1976 serving his country proudly. He was honorably discharged in 1979. Steven worked as a carpenter for many years. He enjoyed woodworking and could fix anything. Steven enjoyed cooking and anything outdoors. He was of the Catholic faith.

Steven is preceded in death by his father Teddy Taylor; mother, W. Marie Blood; step-father, Francis Blood; grandmother, Eunice Champion; sister, Tina Trader; and an infant brother, Michael Blevins.

Survivors include his brothers, Robert Blevins of Denver, Colorado, Don Blevins of Lakewood, Colorado, Johnathan D. Blevins of Norman, Oklahoma, Michael Blood of Rapid City, South Dakota; sister, Joan Blood of Holts Summit, Missouri; and many other relatives and friends.
