Stephanie Lynne Hewson, age 39 of Blanchard, formerly of Purcell, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013 at her home. She was born December 30, 1973 in Amarillo, Texas, the middle daughter of three born to Ronald Ben Ellis and Carolyn Ann (Dodds) Ellis. Stephanie grew up in Guymon, Oklahoma and moved to Purcell at the end of her 3rd grade year. She attended Purcell school and graduated with the Purcell High School Class of 1992. Throughout her junior high and high school years, Stephanie enjoyed playing softball. During the summers when she was younger her dad Ron was her softball coach. In High School she played first baseman and short stop. In 1993, Stephanie married David Hewson. Together they raised two children, Cameron & Hailey. They lived in Purcell for almost 12 years and then moved to Blanchard where she had lived for the past 8 years. When they first got married, she and David worked together as Cross Country Truckers for two years. While starting a family, she attended Vo-Tech where she learned computers and began working at Presbyterian Hospital as an office clerk. She later worked six years for Therapy in Motion in Norman. Her most recent job was working as an office manager for a local physical therapy clinic. Stephanie enjoyed decorating her home, working with crafts and spending time with her children. She was a wonderful mother and loved spoiling her children and her dogs. She will be greatly missed by her family and her friends.

She is survived by: Parents: Ron & Carolyn Ellis of Purcell, Two children: Son: Cameron Alton Lloyd Hewson of the home, Daughter: Hailey Madison Hewson of the home, Two Sisters: Catherine Sherman of Norman, Alicia Ellis & husband, Robert Wade of Washington, Grandmothers: Katherine Dodds & Billie Jinks, both of Amarillo, TX, Two Aunts: Becky Smith & Nancy Horner, both of Amarillo, One Uncle: John Dodds of Plano, TX, Nieces & Nephews: Cristina & Jon Moore, Justin, Elizabeth, Michael & Ronnie Several cousins Also the father of her children: David Hewson

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, September 20, 2013 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Purcell. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell.
