Billy Folsom age 56 of Chickasha, formerly of Purcell, Oklahoma passed away at his home on Sunday, September 15, 2013. He was born February 12, 1957 in Purcell the 5th child of six children. His parents were William “Bill” Folsom and Eva Lynn (Ables). Billy grew up and attended school in Purcell. After high school, Billy moved to New Jersey to work in the construction industry. For nearly 20 years he worked for the local union in New Jersey before going to work for himself in general carpentry and construction. While living New Providence, New Jersey, Billy met and later married Kathy Peart. Together they raised two children, Kaitlyn and Justin. Billy worked hard to provide for his family. He was a good husband and wonderful dad. Throughout his life he enjoyed working with his hands and being in the outdoors. He liked working in the yard and doing things around the home. When his son Justin was growing up he helped coach him in little league baseball. He was always willing to help, anyone at any time. In his spare time, Billy enjoyed fishing, playing golf and spending time with his family. He also was an avid O.U. football fan and he looked forward to watching the Little League Baseball World Series.

He was preceded in death by: Mother: Eva Folsom, Father and step-mother: Bill Folsom and Sue (Tippit) Folsom, Grandfather: Tandy Folsom, Grandmother and step-grandfather: Edith and Hick Dickinson, Grandparents: Davis and Mae Ables, Niece: Kristen Folk,

He is survived by: Wife: Kathy Folsom of New Providence, New Jersey, Children: Kaitlyn Folsom of Burbank, CA, Justin Folsom of New Providence, New Jersey, Three brothers: Randy Folsom and wife Tammy of Oklahoma City, Mike Folsom and wife Marce of Moore, OK, Kevin Folsom and wife Teresa of Wayne, OK, Two sisters: Vickie Lamb of Moore, Jan Folk of Blanchard, OK, Also many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell. Private interment will be at the Hillside Cemetery in Purcell. Arrangements are with Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
