Ruth Bray, age 99 of Purcell, passed away July 26, 2013 at the Norman Regional Hospital. Ruth Daily was born June 12, 1914 in Purcell, the 8th of 9 children born to Johnathon Napoleon Dailey and Cynthia Malinda Ann (Morton) Daily. She married David Ray Beaver and to this union, a son Bobby Dale and a daughter, Marrian Grace, were born. She later married Earl Mooneyham and to this union, a son, James was born. Ruth learned at an early age the value of hard work, and spent many years working farm labor. Some years later, Ruth was reunited with her childhood sweetheart, Odes Bray. They were married on March 2, 1946, and they moved to small acreage near Purcell in 1954, calling it home ever since. She worked for many years in housekeeping for the State Mental Hospital in Norman, before retiring in 1976. Ruth loved the Lord, and she was a longtime and faithful member of the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church in Purcell. Ruth was a wonderful example of a wife and mother and a grandmother. She worked hard, and yet she enjoyed the little things in life; like tending to her flowers, picking pecans and quilting. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by: Her husband, Odes Bray; Her son, Bobby Dale Beaver; Her parents, Johnathon and Cynthia Daily; Siblings, Robert Daily, Tom Daily, Bill Daily, John Daily, Jim Daily, and Grace Grusendorf; Granddaughter, Barbara Mahaffey and Great Granddaughter, Candace Dohm.

Ruth leaves behind: Her son, James Mooneyham and wife Lucille of Norman; Daughter, Marrian Walker of Purcell; Brother, Aurthur Daily of Lawton; 4 Grandchildren, Cynthia Curry and husband Gary, Dale Walker, Joe Walker and Cheral Walker; 7 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren and A host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 29, 2013, at the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church in Purcell. Burial will follow at the Hillside Cemetery. Arrangements by Wilson-Little of Purcell.
