Rosary services for Diana Anhalt were held the evening of November 12, 1981 at the Yoakum Memory Chapel and Mass was on November 13 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father John G. O'Brien officiating. Interment was in Hillside cemetery.

Mrs. Diana M. Anhalt, 87, in a Lexington nursing home on November 10 following a brief illness. She would have been 88 years old the next day.

Diana Moisant was born Nov. 11, 1893 in Purcell, Indian Territory and lived her entire life in this area. She and her late husband Val moved to the Goins community in 1912. She lived there until moving to the nursing home.

She was a former florist and a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of American of Oklahoma City, and a charter member of Our Lady of Victory Altar Society and the Goins Home Extension Club. She had been a delegate to many Home Extension Conventions over the years.

Her brother, Bill Moisant of Oklahoma City, died Thursday just before Mrs. Anhalt's rosary service.

Survivors include three daughters, Verena Larran of Purcell; Anna Belle Rogach of Park Forrest, Ill.; Christine O'Garrell of Tonawanda, N.Y.; one son, Bill of Purcell; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Her Pall bearers were James Marcott, John Moisant, Lee Adams, Lloyd Rains, Edward Marcotte and A.J. Mainord.






Val Anhalt

Funeral services for Val Anhalt were held on Tuesday, February 20, 1951 at 10 o'clock. He was a pioneer farmer living northwest of Purcell. Services were conducted by Rev. Father A.O. Murphy at the Catholic church. Interment was in Hillside cemetery.

Anhalt was born December 26, 1881 in Germany and died on February 17. He and his parents moved to Oklahoma from Iowa in 1895 and settled on a farm just south of the Frankenberg farm.

Survivors include his wife, the former Diana Moisant, one son, William, and three daughters, Mrs. Verna Larran, Purcell; Mrs. Anna Belle Rogasch, New Market, N.J,; Mrs. Christine O'Farrell, Niagara Falls, N.Y. He also leaves a sister, Miss Christine Anhalt, Waterloo, Iowa; two brothers, Louis Anhalt, Waverly, Iowa, and Frank Anhalt, Purcell.

Pallbearers were George Parker, H.W. Mayfield, Ray McPherson, Joe Brinkle, Al Feroli, and Hoyt Williams. The Rackley Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
