Wadley's Funeral Service

Enid "Jean" (Brewer) Adams died May 12, 2015 in Norman at the age of 80 years 4 months 20 days.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, May, 15, 2015 at the Wadley’s Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at the Hillside Cemetery under the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Jean was born December 23, 1934 in St. Augustine, Texas to John Thomas and Katie Victoria (Darnell) Brewer II. She was raised in Silsbee, Texas graduating around 1951. Jean married O.D. Adams in Rockwell, Texas on March 22, 1951. They moved to Purcell in 1977 from Evansdale, Texas. Jean was a homemaker as well as a home-care giver and rancher. She enjoyed watching TV, especially Westerns, Golden Girl and Frasier reruns, as well as playing Bingo. Jean was of the Baptist faith.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents, John and Katie Brewer; husband, O.D. Adams; son, Douglas Ray Adams; grandson, Jeramy Shields; 3 sisters, and 1 brother.

Survivors include her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; Dove Adams and wife, Tracy of Purcell, Monnica Adams of Purcell, Chance Adams of Norman, Samantha Hernandez and husband, Pablo of Purcell, Misty Adams of Dayton, Texas, Ashley Shields of Cordell, Oklahoma, Hillary Gayle Adams of Purcell, Misty Ray Adams of Dayton Texas, Braxton Shields of Cordell, Oklahoma, Taizen Hernandez, Teagan Hernandez, Tasha Lively, Jaiden Rowe, Jayclene Rowe, all of Purcell, and many other relatives and friends.
