Jannet Sue Winford, 75, of McLoud, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at her home.

She was born May 12, 1943 to Floyd Treadway and Tracy (Pack) Williamson in Wetumka, Oklahoma.

Jannet was raised in Oklahoma City and attended Oklahoma City Public Schools.  She later attended college at the age of 52.  She has been a resident of McLoud for the past 35 years.

She married Thomas Marvin Winford on December 15, 1961 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on November 27, 2006.

Jannet worked as a paraprofessional with handicapped children at McLoud Public School and Mid-Del Public Schools retiring in 2008.

She was a very active member of the Choctaw United Methodist Church where she helped in the nursery and the care team.  Jannet was a very caring person and loved working with children.  She enjoyed working in her yard, loved her dogs and was a good shot with her sling shot.  Jannet loved taking care of her family and helping her friends.  She dearly loved her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Winford; her parents; brother, Gary Treadway; and sister, Joyce Ann Mills.

Survivors include 4 sons and 2 daughters-in-law, Thomas and Linda Winford of Bristow, OK, Jimmy Winford of Bethel Acres, OK, Billy Jack and Brigitte Winford of Harrah, OK and Kirk Winford of McLoud, OK; 3 daughters and 1 son-in-law, Mary Lu Winford-Harris of Luther, OK, Ella Richardson of Colorado Springs, CO and Carrie Winford-McCoy and Michael Boren of McLoud, OK; granddaughter, Kenzie Long of McLoud, OK; 9 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Glen Treadway of Macomb, OK; sister, Barbara Simmons of Little Elm, TX; and numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Cooper Funeral Home.  Memorial Service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 25, 2018 at Choctaw United Methodist Church, 1200 N. Choctaw, Choctaw, OK with Reverend Joel Clay, Choctaw United Methodist Church officiating.  

Interment will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 25, 2018 at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, OK under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
