Ruth Ada Rogers, 86, of Dibble, died Wednesday, May 31, 2017, in Norman, Oklahoma. The daughter of R.A. Start and Freda Mae (Vail) Start, she was born December 22, 1930 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. 

Ruth married Leonard Rogers on November 9, 1951 in Moore, Oklahoma. She worked many years as a cook for the University of Oklahoma. She was a member of the Word of Life Church in Dibble for over 50 years and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She volunteered at the Word of Life School for many years helping children learn to read. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard Rogers; three sons, Richard, Floyd, and Wes Rogers; and one sister, Ida Heltcel. 

Ruth is survived by one daughter, Linda West-Stevermer and her husband, Kurt, of Rochester, Minnesota; six grandchildren, Melissa Bell of Bridge Creek, Ricky Rogers of Newcastle, Chris West and his wife, Susannah, of San Antonio, Texas, Brian West and Lareah of Noble, Keisha Swaim and her husband, Stephen, of Dibble, and Troy Rogers and his wife, Megan, of Lawton; ten grandchildren and one more on the way; two great-great grandchildren; six sisters, Ruby, Bessie, Mary, Helen, Goldie, and Carole; five brothers, Floyd, Jimmy, Robert, Larry, and Eddie; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and many other loved ones and friends. 

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Dibble Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
