James Levy “Jim” Moore, 66, of Blanchard, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at his home. The son of Delbert Thomas and Mary Francis (Marsh) Moore, he was born January 11, 1947 in Purcell, Oklahoma.

Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the American Legion. A graduate of Okmulgee Tech, he worked for many years as an auto parts salesman until his retirement. Jim was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church where he enjoyed being a part of the congregational singing. In his spare time, Jim loved to be outdoors and spent countless hours working on his property. He was a big fan of John Wayne and had quite a collection of pictures and movies. Jim also enjoyed woodworking, but his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Delbert and Bill Moore; and a brother-in-law, Danny “Hap” Neujahr.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Paula Moore of Blanchard; five sons, David Levy Moore and Tamera, their children, William and Josie Moore, all of Guthrie, Trent Stephens and Danita, their children, Ashtin, Tylin, and Easton Stephens, all of Missouri, William James “Steve” Stephens and Dawnita Miller, their children, Willie, Miranda, and Cullen Stephens, Brody Miller, and Harley Herriott, all of Oklahoma City, Cory Ray Stephens of Oklahoma City, Mark Stephens and his daughter, Susie Stephens, both of Moore; one sister, Shirley Neujahr of Kansas; two aunts, Esther Keeler and Earline Sharp and husband Kay, all of Dibble; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 19, 2013 at Union Hill Baptist Church near Purcell. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
