Rex Jordan Holt, 76, of Norman, died Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at his home. He was born on August 2, 1940 in Foreman, Arkansas. He was the 11th child of 13 children born to Roxie and Charles Holt. He enjoyed reading Louis L'Amour books, watching sports of any kind, and playing scratch-offs. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his grandchildren.

Rex was an avid OU Sooner fan. He was a long standing member of Norman Original Group and recently celebrated his 30th year of sobriety.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 10 siblings, a granddaughter and a great granddaughter.

Rex is survived by his wife, Mary Holt of Norman; son, Dwayne and Dora Holt of Arcadia; son, RJ and Mellissa Holt of Tecumseh; stepchildren, Colita De La Cruz of Norman, Robert Hudgins of Norman, and Jeanette Perez of Noble; grandchildren: Kelyn Holt, Kendi Craig, Sara Hudgins-De La Cruz, Lucas Hudgins-De La Cruz, Marcas Hudgins-De La Cruz, Sabryna Hudgins, Jason Hudgins, Kevin Perez, Felicia Perez, Joseph Perez, Amber Bell and Bayleigh Hudgins; great grandchildren: Saia Hudgins, Alejandro Hudgins, Mileigh Vincent, Mark Vincent Jr., Javon De La Cruz, Carma Hudgins, TieVon Hudgins, Kelik Perez, Corrbin Breaux, Selena Hudgins, Alex Hudgins, Ruben Hudgins, Presley Fox, Gentry Fox, and Mateo Taylor; two sisters, Rachel Bowman of California and Helen Bighorse of Pawhuska; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 24, 2016, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Dibble Cemetery.
