Sandra Jane “Sandy” Hines, 71, of Blanchard, died Saturday, October 7, 2017, at her home. The daughter of Willis Lee Hoffman and Velma Beatrice (Jennings) Hoffman, she was born August 27, 1946, in Weatherford, Oklahoma.

Sandy worked as a middle school teacher for Shawnee Public Schools and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Blanchard. She married Lawson Dale Hines on August 18, 1990, in Oklahoma City. In her spare time, Sandy enjoyed writing, making various crafts, and making homemade greeting cards. She was a true animal lover, and enjoyed her pet dogs, cats, and birds. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Crysti Davis.

Sandy is survived by her husband of 27 years, Lawson Dale Hines of Blanchard; two daughters, Dina Chastain of Lexington, and Margaret Smith of Watts; one son, Rocky Hines and his wife, Raye, of Moore; eight grandchildren, Tyler Davis and his wife, Kim, Yona Snyder, Haylee Beller and her husband, Nathan, Dalton Chastain, Logan Chastain, Cameron Franklin, Ariana Hines, and Braxton Henderson; six great grandchildren, Ashlynn, Osten, Elijah, Corbin, Jaydin, and Damien; one brother, Mark Hoffman and his wife, Martha, of Mexico; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, October 12, 2017, at First United Methodist Church in Blanchard.

Burial will follow in the Dibble Cemetery in Dibble. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
