Graveside services for Alvin C. Helton, 83, of Blanchard were held Thursday. August 31, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the Dibble Cemetery. Rev. Floyd Ledgerwood officiated. Services were under the direction of Primrose Funeral Service of Norman.

Mr. Helton was born March 21, 1923 in Geary, Oklahoma to Harvey and Hattie Hoggatt Helton. He passed away at his home on August 29, 2006. He was an Army Veteran and retired from the City of Oklahoma City Water Department.

Mr. Helton was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and his wife Betty on August 27, 2002.

He is survived by three sons: Terry Helton, Larry Helton and his wife Paulita, and Ray Helton and his wife Janie; three daughters: Sherry Rappleyea and her husband Richard, Linda Kemp and her husband Larry and Kylee, and Karen Dawkins and her husband Marlin and Cody; 11 grandchildren: 12 great grandchildren and one sister, Elma Gooden.

His grandsons served as casket bearers.
