Carl Brent Wilkins, 79, of Blanchard, died Friday, September 25, 2020, in Oklahoma City. The son of Charles William Wilkins and Irene Beatrice (Patterson) Wilkins, he was born August 23, 1941 in Oklahoma City.

Carl was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired after twenty-one years of service as a Weather Superintendent. He served during the Vietnam Era and was honorably discharged after reaching the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He then went to work at the National Weather Service and retired after twenty years. Carl was a member of the Middleberg Baptist Church. He loved reading, especially westerns, science fiction, mysteries and military novels. He enjoyed being outdoors and in his younger years he enjoyed hunting. Carl’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandkids and great grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sharon Wilkins; one daughter, Shari Wilkins; one brother, Billy Wilkins; and one sister, Betty Jean Dillon.

Carl is survived by two daughters, Carla Courtney and her husband, Jeff, of Blanchard and Billie Devilbiss and her husband, JD, of Blanchard; one son, Matthew Wilkins of Blanchard; eleven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; two sisters, Patsy Halliburton of Blanchard and Charlotte Shaw of Blanchard; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 1, 2020, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
