Ella Arizetta “Zetta” Ward, 79, of Yukon, died Sunday, January 19, 2014 in Oklahoma City. The daughter of Hubert and Julia (Vinson) Rockwell, she was born September 10, 1934 in Lindsay, Oklahoma.

She married the love of her life, Duane Ward, on March 24, 1950 and they spent many years in the grocery business. After their retirement, they became “snowbirds”, spending their summers in Colorado and their winters in South Texas. She was a Baptist in faith and was an active supporter of missions in South Texas. They moved back to Oklahoma in 1993 and made their home in Yukon. In her spare time, Zetta enjoyed fishing, cooking, sewing, working in her flower beds, and spending time with her family. Zetta was an avid basketball fan and loved watching the Oklahoma City Thunder.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Duane Ward.

Zetta is survived by her two daughters, Diane Francis of El Reno and Denise Perhane of Mustang; her son, Don Ward and his wife, Dalana, of Mustang; her five grandchildren, Shawn Collins, Kevin Collins, Callie Ward, Haley Mitchell, and Kyle Ward; her six great grandchildren, Brittany Collins, Jacob Collins, Tyler Collins, Auttie Grace Collins, Cinch Mitchell, and Paisley Mitchell; and many other loved ones and friends.

Graveside service and burial will be held at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at the Blanchard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Integris Hospice House, 13920 Quailbrook Drive, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73134.
