Thomas Franklin “Skeet” Swindell, Jr., 84, of Blanchard, died Sunday, May 24, 2020, at his home. The son of Thomas Franklin Swindell, Sr. and Viola Mae (Turner) Swindell, he was born November 27, 1935 in Davenport, Oklahoma.
 

Tom worked for many years as a trim carpenter and was Christian in faith. He was a very talented artist and enjoyed woodcarving, sculpting, and oil painting. He also enjoyed writing poetry and treasure hunting. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.


He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lucille Swindell; one daughter, Debbie McWaters; one brother, Danny Harker; and one sister, Ann McKerricher.


Tom is survived by one daughter, Janine Mann of Blanchard; one son, Chad Swindell and his wife, Melisha, of Blanchard; seven grandchildren, Brad McWaters of Texas, Brandon McWaters of Oklahoma City, Tyler Hartley of Oklahoma City, Lyndi Mann of Blanchard, Kambry Swindell of Blanchard, Keegan Swindell of Blanchard, and Kinsley Swindell of Blanchard; seven great grandchildren, Kyhla, Zayden, Rylan, Madison, Tristan, Laklyne, and Dayson; two sisters, Erma Jean Harrison of California, and Lola Culbertson of Wyoming; and many other loved ones and friends.
 

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 29, 2020, at the Trinity Holiness Church in Blanchard.

Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
