Wilbert G. Smith was born on August 4, 1913, in Grady County, OK and passed through death to eternal life with Christ Jesus on January 18, 2005.
He lived in the OKC metropolitan area except for fifteen years that he lived in Tubac, Arizona. He had lived in Blanchard for the past eleven years. He had practiced law in Oklahoma City for fifty years.
He was with the American Red Cross in the early 1940's but entered the U.S. Army during War World II.
Wilbert was the father of three children, Karen B., Robert B. and Mathew M.
He married Lois J. Coy in 1968. Soon after their marriage they moved to Arizona where they pursued a rock hobby.
Wilbert was always involved in Christian stewardship wherever he lived.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Dona Smith, his sister Marion Henry and brother Dr. Glenn Smith and daughter Karen B. Thompson.
Wilbert is survived by his wife Lois, his sons Robert and his wife Catherine, his son Mathew and five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
His celebration of life was held on Friday, January 21, 2005 at North Council Road, Blanchard OK. Burial was at the Blanchard Cemetery. Dr. Duane Riley officiated.
