Gregory Lynn Shupert, 61, of Blanchard, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 26, 2020, after a short battle with cancer.

Greg was born on July 10, 1959, to Barney and Mary Sue Shupert in Talihina, Oklahoma. Greg married Elaine Timothy on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 1981. They made their home in Blanchard, Oklahoma.

Greg was a humanitarian who served his community well. He was involved in little league baseball and retired from Blanchard Fire Department after twenty-six years of service. A member of FEMA, Greg responded to natural disasters such as Hurricanes Rita, Katrina and Wilma, traveling to many states including Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida, Texas and Wisconsin. Greg enjoyed fishing and camping with his family, but most of all, he loved Elaine.

Greg is preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Mary Sue Shupert; siblings, Rita Gwen Shea and Mark Shupert, and by one granddaughter, Angel Grace Shupert. He is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Elaine Shupert, seven children: Bobby, J.J., Joshua, Hoss, Aaron, Nicole, and Seven, twenty-one grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Blanchard with Pastor Stephen Ussery officiating. Interment will follow at Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
