April Lynn Sampley, 44, of Oklahoma City, died Monday, February 2, 2015, in Oklahoma City. The daughter of Donald “Roy” Sampley and Roberta (Herald) Sampley, she was born August 27, 1970 in Fort Riley, Kansas.

April was a member of the Tony Burris VFW Ladies Auxiliary. In her spare time, she enjoyed latch hook and loved to watch sports, especially the Tennessee Titans, Kentucky Wildcats, and Thunder Basketball.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and one sister, Barbara Huddle.

She is survived by her two sons, Chris Sampley and Brandon Thomas, both of Oklahoma City; her mother, Roberta Sampley of Tennessee, her father, Roy Sampley and his wife, Bernice, of Blanchard; three sisters, Camie Best and her husband, Jeff, of Comanche, Donna Baldwin and her husband, Greg, of Tennessee, and Tess Bokal and her husband, Rick, of Colorado; one brother, Donald Sampley of Devol; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Newcastle. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery.
