Rafael Valdez Rodriguez, 62, of Bridge Creek, died Wednesday, December 13, 2017, in Camargo, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was born March 2, 1955 in Gómez Palacio, Durango, Mexico to Ofelia Rodriguez and Rafael Valdez Vera. He owned and operated a concrete company and raised cattle and quarter horses. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Rogelio Valdez Rodriguez.

Rafael is survived by his wife, Maria Del Pilar of Bridge Creek; two sons, Rafael Valdez and Hector Omar Valdez, both of Bridge Creek; six daughters, Sandra Valdez and husband, Raul DeLoera, Angelica Valdez and husband, Oscar Marquez, Brenda Valdez and husband, Juan Meraz, Rosy Valdez and husband, Gilberto Najera, Marissa Valdez and husband, Jose Juan Salas, and Yajaira Valdez, all of Bridge Creek; thirteen grandsons; two granddaughters; several brothers and sisters; and many other relatives and friends.

A Rosary Service will be held at 6:30 PM, Monday, December 18, 2017 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. A second Rosary Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1100 North Sara Road, in Mustang. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Mustang.

Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
