Shirley Darlene Robinson, 62, of Blanchard, died Saturday, September 17, 2016, in Oklahoma City. The daughter of Christopher Columbus Adams, Jr. and Helen Inez (Van Allen) Adams, she was born December 11, 1953, in Fame, Oklahoma.

Shirley was a 1972 graduate of Blanchard High School. She married James Michael Robinson on April 17, 1981 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Shirley worked as an assembler for General Motors and retired after 30 years of service. She was a member of the United Auto Workers Union. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to the lake, camping, crocheting, and reading. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her father C.C. Adams, two aunts, Corrine Williams and Pearl Hoover; and an uncle, Roy Van Allen.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Mike Robinson of Blanchard; her mother Inez Adams of Blanchard; two daughters, Kristie McKinney and husband, Dean, of Noble, and Crystal Palmer and husband, Kody, of Blanchard; two grandchildren, Taylor McKinney and Colton McKinney, both of Noble; one brother, Archie James and wife, Carol, of Blanchard; two nephews, Kevin James and wife, Tracy, of Blanchard, and Tony James and wife, Robyn, of Blanchard; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
